I'm finding that /apidocs/ is very slow to load or fails to load completely.
I checked the DevNet sandbox for CMX 10 and the metrics seem to be okay for the last 24 hours. The response is good for both the /apidocs and the cli login. Let us if it continues to happen and we'll try a reset.
Hi Matt, should have clarified - this is on a 3365 we are running 10.2.2-340 on in the lab. Preliminarily, I find that during periods of significant client activity (e.g. early afternoon) the /apidocs/ pages are completely inaccessible. Is there a particular service I should be watching that would correlate with the appliance being unable to serve these pages during peak periods?
If you have upgraded from earlier version of 10.2, have you done a hard reset of the server since upgrading? The reason I ask is we have seen where 10.2.2-340 will run with high memory utilization, mid-90%, on Redis like there was lot of data that got persisted on the server. Also, certain api resources were returning invalid response. The engineering team provided the following response to the ticket we opened:
Until 10.2.2 we were persisting data in Redis. But in 10.2.2 we made it non-persistent for better performance and memory utilization. Looks like there was some data that was lingering around from 10.2.1 that caused this accumulated effect and restart fixed it as it flushed out all data.
At this point, there is nothing that we can fix. After 10.2.2 by making redis non-persistent, this issue is likely not to occur again. Can we mark this issue as unreproducible for now and take it up if at all it happens again?
A cli reset wouldn't hurt to try even if this isn't the case. Let us know.
Hey Matt, I actually just read your note on that in another thread. I wanted to hard restart the machines to see if that remedied another issue as well: a CMX experiencing moderate memory pressure (e.g. 45% utilization) seems to have problems adding/removing WLC listings from /configure/#dashboard, and will return duplicated records.
All three CMX boxes were hard restarted and came back up - I will keep you updated on the availability of the /apidocs/ interface.
