When you forward a CISCO IP phone to an off-net nuumber, i.e cell phone, does it tie up an outbound trunk until the forward is cancelled?
I guess you're referring to the situation where you press the "Call Forward All" softkey in your IP Phone using CUCM to get all incoming calls transferred to your cell right?
In that case, we only occupy a channel in the PSTN trunk when a call is forwarded and only for the duration of the call. Once the call is finished, the channel is again available (and no, it's not always the same channel, we don't "pre-book" it).
