CUCM 8.5 or UCCX 8.5 and Microsoft CRM 11

Can someone please tell me what the alternative is now that the Call Connector for Microsoft CRM has been EOL?  I have a customer looking to integrate a new 8.5/6 deployment with Microsoft CRM 11, and I am trying to figure out the best and least expensive way to accomplish that.  Are there 3rd party alternatives that do not require UCCX, or is UCCX now required?
