I wanted to drop a line to everyone from here at the Cisco Live DevNet Zone!

Things are humming along and the hackathon is starting up. We've had good crowds and a lot of good technical talks and the feedback I've been getting from users has been quite positive. My name's Chuq Von Rospach and I'm one of the new community managers here at DevNet. If you're visiting the DevNet Zone at Cisco Live, please track me down at the desk outside of the API theater and say hello.

We are firing up the hackathon behind me and for the next 24 hours we'll have groups of developers building apps on site. Tomorrow they'll show off what they did and the best projects will win some nice prizes.

We are running two tracks of technical and product talks here in the DevNet Zone, as well as an area of stations with learning labs where you can sit down and so some short self-paced projects to get introduced to some of our technologies.

There's a showcase area where some of our partners like Citrix are showing off the solutions we're working together on, and we have an area where you can sit down 1 on 1 with members of our technical team to ask questions about our technologies.

We will be covering more of the show here but for real time updates you should follow us on our twitter feed at @CiscoDevNet.

As community manager here at Cisco's DevNet, a big part of my job is helping to make sure you get the tools and information you need for you do solve the problems you're chasing, so I'd love to get your thoughts and feedback. You can catch me in the community forums or drop me an email at cvonrosp@cisco.com

I am already getting questions about online availability of the talks and slides, so I'll let you know we're working to pull as much together as we can and get it online and available here on the site as fast as we can. Much of it won't be available until after the show but we'll let you know as we get it posted.

If you're here at Cisco Live please make sure you visit the DevNet Zone in Moscone West (on the second floor) and see what we've put together for you. If you're not, follow our twitter feed for real-time updates, and keep an eye here and we'll let you know as we get the presentation slides and other materials posted for you to see.
