How is DevNet involved?
For the first time, DevNet will be at the event, with DevNet Evangelist Ralph Schmeider running two sessions repeatedly during the afternoon:
1. All About DevNet (kl. 12.30–13.00 og 14.00–14.30)
The Cisco DevNet developer program is the ‘go-to’ place to find the platforms, tools, information, and experiences you need to create and build on Cisco platforms and technologies. From the latest APIs to sandboxes where developers can play and experiment, DevNet has everything you need to explore new ideas in an encouraging, convenient, and secure environment. It’s easy to use, comprehensive, and relevant to the challenges you face.
We'll take you through DevNet and the tools on offer, to give you all you need to get started with DevNet.
2. Getting Started: Coding using REST APIs (kl. 13.15-13.45 og 14.45-15.15)
The session is perfect for people who are completely new to working with APIs. We will discuss the possibilities that APIs offer, common types of APIs, and why APIs are important to both developers and infrastructure engineers. We will also show you how to use POSTMAN to start experimenting with REST APIs, specifically the REST API of APIC-EM. We will cover coding basics and create some simple examples that retrieve, parse and display JSON data using the Cisco APIC-EM REST APIs with various tools like cURL, Postman and Python.
