    What is SFDC?

SFDC is salesforce.com, it is a Sales platform (web portal) used by Sellers (Account Managers etc.,) to keep track of the potential opportunities, leads etc.

    How do I access SFDC?

    Log in to Salesforce.com
Username: CEC username (complete email address)
    Password: CEC password

**Note: You must be on Cisco network directly or via CVO / VPN.

How do I request access to SFDC?

Instructions for the process may be found here: Request SFDC Access.

I had access to SFDC in the past, however when I log in now, SFDC does not recognize me. Why?

Cisco has a policy if you do not log into SFDC for 90 days, you no longer have access. The reason for this is Cisco pays a high cost for licensing and needs to limit costs for non-usage. Enter an SFDC request to gain access again.

Where do I go to submit a CPOC Request?

To submit a CPOC request, you will need to access the 'Customer Engagements and Events' tab in SFDC. For a more detailed explanation and example, go to:

Entering a CPOC Request Instruction Guide

What type of services does CPOC provide?

At the present time, CPOC provides the following types of engagements:

    • Customized CPOC-managed tests
    • Customized SE-managed tests
    • Pre-Built Static Test Bed Labs
    • These engagements may be virtual (Telepresence), at the CPOC locations, or both.

Tours of the CPOC Lab facilities are also available. For more detailed descriptions, please see: Which Test Should I Choose?

What information is required to submit a request?

This information will vary somewhat based on the type of engagement requested. However, at a minimum, a Deal ID is required.  Depending on the type of request, you may also need to provide:

    • Network Diagram
    • Equipment List that matches the network diagram
    • Test tool requirements
    • High level test objectives
    • Any special test needs (e.g. DMZ access, non-standard tools, 3rd party equipment, etc)

Why do I need an opportunity or deal ID?

Having a deal ID or opportunity allows the field to track, identify, and determine which Experience Services offerings are most effective for you to best transition customer opportunities into closed deals.

What can I expect to happen after I submit a request?

I've submitted a CPOC request, what happens next?

How do I check the status of my request?

To check the status of the request after submission, navigate to the 'Customer Engagements and Events' tab in SFDC and locate your event.

How do I update my request with additional information?

First, navigate to the 'Customer Engagements and Events' tab in SFDC and locate your event.  Once located, use the chatter feed function to communicate with the scheduler and to upload files.
