This FAQ has been designed to address some recent questions we have received from Cisco employees about this contest. While Cisco employees are not eligible for the 'Grand Prize', we do have a 'Cisco Employee Prize' available through this contest. The winner of this prize (an Apple iPad Mini) must be a Cisco employee at the time of the winner announcement (May 20th, 2014) to be eligible for this prize.
We made the decision that we wanted to use the same forum and post the scripts even for this internal contest on the public site in the spirit of sharing and collaboration. We know there are a number of Cisco employees with some great content and this is your opportunity to share your work and check out the scripts developed by others.
Here is a FAQ specifically addressing this internal contest:
Question: Are Cisco employees allowed to enter the Power Scripting Contest?
Cisco employees may submit entries, but they will not be considered for the contest grand prize. To encourage employee participation, an ‘Cisco Winner’ will be selected by our internal panel of judges.
Question: What is the prize for the Internal winner?
The Cisco Internal Power Scripting Contest winner will be awarded an Apple iPad Mini.
Question: When will the winner be announced?
The Cisco Internal Power Scripting Contest winner will be announced at the same time as the Grand Prize winner. Winners need not be present.
Question: How will the winner be selected?
The Cisco Internal Power Scripting Contest winner will be selected by a panel of Cisco employee judges. Members of this panel are not eligible to win this prize.
Question: Do I need to be present to win?
No, we will reach out to the winner after the announcement in the event they are not in attendance at the Winner's reception being held May 20th @5PM in the DevNET Zone of Cisco Live. A pass for the DevNET Zone is required to attend this event.
