    Hello,

We have the need to programmatically get the recording files out of UCCX so they can be attached to the customer's CRM.

Getting the files out of UCCX is done, but we are struggling with the conversion to WAV.

Can somebody point us in the right direction?

    Any help appreciated!

    Thanks in advance,

    Paulo Silva

    Hi Steven,

    Thanks for the quick reply!

We are on UCCX 8.5 and my understanding is that the recording s files stay in UCCX.

Someone told me that, in UCCX 8.5, raw to wav conversions can only be done via the CLI...

In any case, I wrote a tool to get them out and tried raw2wav; i don't get any errors but i don't get the wav file either.

    Thanks in advance,

    Paulo Silva

    Paulo,

You are correct, I was looking at an 8.0 client.

According to the SRND all recordings are stored on the Server now. Also the SRND speaks of a dump tool to get the recordings off. It would seem that you have found that. Please post what that cmd line was for others who come across this posting.

It would seem that once you get all the RAWs off of the server you are going to have to run them thru an audio processor (third party) to convert to wav.

Seems that Cisco has finally got this all locked up so that now you HAVE to get Compliance Recording or the Quality Management products if you want access to WAV type files.

    Sorry man.

    Paulo,

If you are talking about the Agent/Caller voice recordings. If you are on a pre 8.x system, there is a RAW2WAV.exe file on the C:\Program Files\Cisco\Desktop\bin folder on the server. You should be able to write and run a bat file that can output the recordings as wav.

On the 8.x systems this file is located on the computer of the Agent\Supervisor. It is in the same path. The default for all agent recordings is to store them on the agents computer. You should be able to write a bat file to handle the conversion. I believe that there is help on the exe (>raw2wav /?) to explain how to use it.

    Hope this helps.
