Hi,

We need the ability to copy or punt any layer 2 frame/packet, both for the output and the input direction of an interface.

There are some layer 2 acl functions, including onep_acl_create_l2_ace and onep_acl_create_l2_acl. Will these layer 2 acl functions allow any other packets to be copied or punted from a router, compared to the layer 3 functions? As an example, would it be possible to copy or divert any layer 2 frame by specifying a filter with any layer 2 source or destination mac address?

Best regards
Viktor

No.  IOS only allows you to get at IPv4 and IPv6 traffic with the DPSS.

This is a requirement on our roadmap, but at this time I can't give you a timeline for availability on IOS router platforms.

Cheers,

Einar

Thanks Joseph and Einar,

It's good to hear that this requirement is on the roadmap for IOS router
platforms.

Best regards
Viktor
