    Guys,

I'm running version 8.5 of CUIC and want to give my supervisors the ability to take custom reports that I have created and save copies of them, but not save over them.  IE, I'd like the "Save As" button to be enabled but not the "Save" button for supervisors.  I understand that this is a feature of version 9.x, but we are not in a position to upgrade to that at this time.

I've noticed that the Cisco-provided templates allow you to save copies but not overwrite the originals.  Does anyone know how they accomplish this?  Is there some hidden flag that can be toggled somewhere to do this?

    Thanks.

I'm pretty sure that's not a problem as long as they have the right permissions, have you compared the permissions for the users group for the stock reports against the permissions for your report?

    Hi James,

Haven't tried this myself yet but if you export the report, go into the zip file, extract the xml file and change the following entry:

      <cisco>false</cisco>

    and change it to

      <cisco>true</cisco>

Reinsert the xml back into the zip and overwrite the old xml file and reimport that report, from my understanding you then shouldn't be able to save it like the Cisco stock reports.

    Cheers,
    Nathan

I think you need to create new definition, if you have Premier version of CUIC, but I also found the way in Standard...
