    Hi team,

When we search an analog phone via AXL, we find the analog phone in device table and the TKID comes as 1 which indicates a phone. But when using Serviceability XML, the same analog phone should be searched in gateways table, not in devices table. How we can understand whether a device is stored as a phone or gateway?

For now, as a workaround, we search the the devices based on their device names: If a device name starts with SEP, we search phone table. If it starts with ANN, we search gateways. But we don't want to use such hardcoded information.

I appreciate if you comment on this.

    Thanks and regards,
    Murat

What kind of analog phone/gateway is being used?  I suspect about the best you can do is keep an a priori short list of typemodel's that correspond to known gateway models, and check the tkmodel field when checking the tkclass.  As I believe the 'ANN' prefix is autogenerated by UCM when it creates the device record, TBH this is probably a pretty safe way to proceed, albeit not DBA normalization best practice, perhaps...

VG248 analog gateways are being used and yes, as you said, CUCM automatically generates ANN prefixes for each port.
So, you recommend keeping shortlists based on models and prefixes.
