Do you have network access on this machine?  When you run this command, mvn should download some stub POM files from the central Maven repository (typically http://repo1.maven.org/maven2/org/apache/maven/plugins/maven-clean-plugin/2.4.1/ unless you have a custom ~/.m2/settings.xml file).

Are you using any custom Maven settings?  Can you provide the -X output as well?

Hey Joseph,

thanks for the reponse. below i included the output with -X switch. looking more closely at the output, it suggests an error is occured as result of the absence of a POM file in the /OnePK/JavaSDK/sdk-java-0.7.0.503g/java/lib directory. and, definitely, there is not such a file in that directory. i presume this a, previously required, step that i misssed. i'll look back through the guide. unless, this POM file is downloaded during the mvn build process?

You may have some bad Maven settings.  Post your /usr/share/maven/conf/settings.xml and ~/.m2/settings.xml files.
