    Hi Thomas,

Configuration looks correct.  From router are you able to ping CIMC ip address 192.31.1.160?

    Thanks,
    Tom

    Hi Thomas,

Do you have the CIMC connected through the external management port (the one marked "M" on the module front panel)?  If so, I would suggest removing the "ip route 192.31.1.160" configuration, as that could be causing an issue.

If you intend to have the CIMC connect through the router, could you please try setting the following config:

    imc access-port shared-lom console

This will replace the "imc access-port dedicated".

    Thanks,
    Daniel

    Hi Thomas,

Just realized 'imc access-port dedicated' should be 'imc access-port shared-lom console'.  Ping from router to CIMC ip address should work now and you should have access to CIMC GUI.

    Thanks,
    Tom

So, i removed the ip route, kept it on dedicated, made sure the management port was plugged in.  I can ping it, but still no dice on web connecting to the CIMC.

Had a Webex session with Tom - it looks like there was a problem with the CIMC firmware. Trying to login from the ucse session kept giving an "authentication failed" error.

We rebooted into recovery mode and re-installed the CIMC firmware. After that it seems to come up OK, web access and CLI are working.

    Hi Thomas,

Where is the management port connected to?  Is it plugged back into g0/2 of the same router?  If not you may have to update the default gateway.

Would it be possible for you to post a diagram of your network setup?

    Thanks,
    Daniel

Router-Service Module- Management port- C3560 switch

I can ping the address just fine.

I am also not able to do a F8 and get into the CIMC configuration through the KVM.  It prompts me for the password but once entered it just continues to the shell prompt.

I also try to do a 'ucse 2 session imc' and it won't take any username or passwords.
