I know CUIC is not compatible with SQL 2008 but I'm trying to get to it via a 2005 server.
I have a table in a SQL 2008 server that I run against a couple of tables in the ICM database 2005 server.
The 2008 server is a Linked Server in my 2005 server and Im able to call on its tables by using the syntax "linked_Server.db.table".
So now Im trying to turn it into a report but when I try to build my fields I get an error that says that I need to turn on ANSI NULLS and ANSI WARNINGS.
These are turned-on on both servers and I was wondering if there was a way to do it in CUIC.

I've tried getting it to work by creating a view and creating a function but I always get the same error.

    thanks

    Hi Luis,

Further to turn on the ANSI NULL and ANSI WARNING on the servers you need to set this for each query you're executing on the linked server.
This means for each reportdefinition include at the beginning of the Query:
    "SET ANSI_NULLS ON
    SET ANSI_WARNINGS ON"

and for each Value-List you're using within your reportdefinitions you need to set the same parameters at the beginning.

Once the connection to the datasource has been opened with a Query NOT including this two parameters, the following queries will not use the ANSI settings even if you set them within the Queries directly.
To close the datasource connection, please edit the datasource, save it, re-edit it agian to the correct configuration and save it. The connection will be opened again with the first query. Make sure you're using a value list and a reportdefinition including the ANSI parameters. Then it should work without the error.

    Good luck!

    Best Regards,
    Stefanie

    Stefanie,
    Thank you, that did it.
I had the ANSI settings on the query but I was using an existing Data Source.
I ended up duplicating on of my Data Sources and it worked just fined.

    thanks
