CUIC - Customized Value Lists and Collections

We have a number of different business groups that are / will be using our CUIC application.  We would like to have a standard set of reports that all of these business units can use.  However, we would like to control the access to what they can see by setting permissions at the Collections level or (alternately...) the Value List level.

Does anyone have any experience or best practices for configuring Collections using the Java Regular Expressions?  Is this the best way to create these collections so that I (or another admin) doesn't have to constantly update and maintain the collections?

For example, we have call types named:
    - QUE_BUS1_Test
    - QUE_BUS1_Test2
    - QUE_BUS1_Test3
    - QUE_BUS2_Test
    - QUE_BUS2_Test2
    - QUE_BUS2_Test3

In the above example, we would want to have a collection that gives us all of the QUE call types for BUS1 and another that gives us all of the QUE call types for BUS2.  Users in the BUS1 group would only be able to run reports on the BUS1 QUE Call Types and users in BUS2 group would only be able to run reports for the BUS2 group.

Also...would we be better off using the COLLECTION IDENTIFIER method of defining these?

This has been a pain point in our development/deployment of the application.  Right now we only have a few users in a pilot group but as we roll out to the larger enterprise, this will become an important means of controlling access to reports while keeping administration duties reasonable.

    Thanks.

Also...I'd like to add that we are using CUIC Version 8.5(4).  Thanks.

    Hi Joseph,

First of all, the COLLECTION IDENTIFIER ha been made exactly for this type of use.
I am not using regular expressions, but what I did is I filled description for each CallType, Agent etc. with the name of business / deartmemt, this thing belongs to. Then just simply create collections based on IDENTIFIER - the description I used. It1`s simple and looks veryusefull. Now I do not have to ouch CUIC web anymore. Instead of creating new reports or changing premissions.
