    Hi,

I'm trying to import a virtual machine in OVF format (Actualyy it's 5 files. x.ovf and 4 disk files) onto the SRE-v.
I have an evaluation license that is still valid.

I am using the folloing command
    # virtual-machine import ftp://<ipaddress of FTPserver>/VirtualMachines/x.ovf datastore datastore1 username anonymous password something name newvm

There are NO spaces in my virtual machine name or ovf file.

I get the following error when I run the command..
    Cannot load the ovf file.

Could someone tell me what I'm missing..

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi Christopher ,

Can you check  the ovf file size. If the ovf file size is 0 bytes and then when we try an import this error would be seen.

Also check if the FTP directory has read/ write permissions and  also if the username and password is correct.

    Thanks,

    Ashwin.

    Thanks Ashwin for your response.
Here was the problem....there were several.

I had renamed the OVF file to remove the spaces but the contents had the virtual disk names with spaces still left over. Only when I opened the OVF did I realize this.

    Thanks!
