SRE ext nic to run multiple vlans

Version 1

    Background:
Added vswitch1 using vnmnic0.  In vSphere Configure/Networking it lists the interface and clicking on the CDP information balloon displays the CDP information about the upstream switch.

I click on properties of the vswitch2 and select the network adapters tab, it lists the VLANs trunked to the interface.

I have one of the three servers assigned to that vswitch.

    Problem:
How do assigned the server to the VLAN desired?  VLAN21 in this case.

You need to assign the VLAN to the PortGroup and then connect the VM to this PortGroup.

    Thanks,

I am unable to find any documentation on what appears to be such a simple taks.  Within vSphere, I am only able to find the "VLAN ID" selection box and it only lists "None (0)" or "ALL (4095).

Steps on how this is done or a link to a document covering this task would be appreciated.

I found that you just type it in.  I assumed the vlan id would be in the drop down box since is lists via cdp.
