Hi, from an application running in a VM, we need to have a way to tell
if the host is a SRE 700 or 900 blade, which unfortunately appears to
have identical CPUs.  Any suggestions how to tell the two apart?

    Thanks,

    Hi Kin,

Issuing the CLi ¿ show hardware¿ on the SRE (console manager)  should tell if the blade is a 700 or 900.

    Thanks,

    Ashwin

    Hi Ashwin,

It shows the cpu info of the blade, but memory amount of the VM.

I just checked on my windows 2008R2 VM under system settings.

Processor info shows :  Solo CPU , by which we can identify it is a 700.

For 900 it shows duo CPU

    Thanks,

    Ashwin.
