ESXi upgrade from the .19 to .35 code lost server instances and vswitch configuration.  Should it have retained the environment or are there steps to "export then import" the information when performing SRE code upgrade?

    Steven,

The upgrade from .19 to .35 is not supported. What you did was essentially do a new install of of 35 so you lost the server instances. Upgrades will be supported moving forward and in those cases you will not loose any data/VM¿s.

If you plan to upgrade an of your other systems from 19 to 35 and would like to use the same servers do a export of the VM¿s before installing 35 and then import the VM¿s again.

    Thanks,

    Radhika
