Is there a way to detect a conference call being initiated by an IP Phone and shut it down while allowing Transfer?

I don't think Tcl IVR API can do this.

    Thanks !

Can it detect when a call is transferred by the endpoint?  I thought the ev_transfer events were related but I was apparently wrong.

To detect the transfer, yes but the ephone have be under monitoring.

For example, via Tcl script A calls B , either A or B initiate transfer then the script will get the trigger.

    Thanks !

I am basically looking to create something that when the call is transferred it will play an audio prompt to the new party.

Yes, you can if the call is managed by Tcl script.

Is you call scenario like this,
A call coming in triggers Tcl script then connects to B party. Either side initiate transfer, trasfer to party pick up the phone and hear the announcement after that call will be connected to new party ?

    This is doable.

    Thanks !

That is exactly what I am looking for! When a person transfers the call to someone else the person that it was transferred to gets a prompt when he picks up the phone.

    Please go to
    http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/tablebuild.pl/tclware
    download app-h450-transfer.2.0.0.10.zip
From this script you can find tthe information you need.

    Thanks !

This script is long and confusing...I am just wondering what event is used to determine that a endpoint is transferring the call to another endpoint? At least that is what I think I am looking for. BTW I really appreciate all your help!

Basically I just need to prevent a user from transferring the call in the application to another phone or a conference call.

If you just want to prevent user to do the transfer then you don't need to do anything. If call is handled by Tcl application and you don't do anything for ev_transfer trigger not thing will happen.

    Thanks !

Is it ephone managed by CME or CM ? Means without Tcl script you can make call and transfer ?

    Thanks,

It is a phone on CCM I would just like to detect the leg media endpoint change and perform functions on that.

Here is what I think. When we press the soft key to transfer. Call Manager
will get notified and then handles the transfer,  voice gateway side cannot
    do anything about that.

    Thanks !

CallManager does handle the transfer but the gateway also sees that it was transferred. 4000 is the DN for the phone that the call was transferred to.

Is there a way that I can monitor this event and trigger something to happen when this new leg gets setup?  Like play an audio file or call close.

Has anyone had any thoughts on this? I would think that if the session can identify the transfer I would be able to perform an action on it based on an event.
