Using the AXL SQL SOAP interface, is it possible to submit multiple SQL queries (or updates) per SOAP request ? I'm jut thinking about reducing the amount of SOAP calls I have to make.

Only one per request is tested/supported.

Presenting results for multiple commands as a coherent XML data set might be a challenge.

I have never tried using the UNION statement via AXL and it might, and probably should be, blocked.  However since you are executing a SQL query you could try a UNION command but I personally strongly recommend against it.  UNION commands always have a good chance of impacting performance of any server due to the nature of the command itself.  You execute statement one, caches the results in memory, execute statement two, merge the results in memory and repeats until all statements are executed.  Once all are done the memory is finally recovered and results transmitted.

Quite frankly it wouldn't suprise me if multiple SOAP calls have a lower impact against the system.
