I have an app that sends audio to Cisco phones.  Before sending the audio it POSTs a CiscoIPPhoneExecute command to the phone with a URL of RTPMRx to tell the phone what multicast address and port to listen to (and after the audio I send RTPMStop).

This works well with 7940 and 7960 phones and also with a 7912.  But it doesn't seem to work with a 7970 or a 7911.  I notice that the phones that work reply to the POST with a "302 Found", while the one's that don't play the audio reply with a "200 OK".

Any ideas about how these models differ?  More importantly any pointers about how to make the 7970 and 7911 phones receive audio?

I also notice that the 302 Found replies (from the phones that work) include "Server: Allegro-Software-RomPager/3.12".  In the phones that don't play the audio the 200 OK reply includes: "Server: Allegro-Software-RomPager/4.34".  Maybe it's the different version that matters, not the phone model.

I discovered the problem.  I was sending a URL with a decimal point in the volume field of the URL (50.0 instead if 50).  Once I was able to look at the <CiscoIPPhoneRepsonse> in the 200 OK message, it was easy since it said "Invalid Volume".  I gues the 3.12 software was for forgiving than the 4.34.
