Dumb question, but can't quite pull the info out of the reams of documentation available.  We have a web based application that we would like to access via the color 7970/7971 touchscreen phones.  It seemed that these phones (and Cal Manager) handled only ASP based code (not even ASP.net) a couple of years ago.  Is this still the case?  What should we be looking at to better understand this environment?  Our app was developed using C# and runs on latest .Net framework, etc.

    Thanks for any assistance.

    Dan

    Dan,

Whislt the sample apps from Cisco are in Clasic ASP you can write in any language you like. .NET is fine.
If you let me know a bit more of what you are tying to do i will see if i can help. It sounds like you are wanting to develop an IP Service - so take a look at http://developer.cisco.com/web/ipps/home and http://developer.cisco.com/c/document_library/get_file?folderId=32264&name=DLFE-18002.pdf&redirect=http%3A%2F%2Fdeveloper.cisco.com%2Fweb%2Fipps%2Fdocs%3Fp_p_id%3Ddoc_library_summary_portlet_WAR_doclibrarysummaryportlet_INSTANCE_n8HI%26p_p_lifecycle%3D0%26p_p_state%3Dnormal%26p_p_mode%3Dview%26p_p_col_id%3Dcolumn-1%26p_p_col_count%3D2

    Hope this helps

    Jon

You have to keep this in mind that Cisco IP Phones only understand XML. So as long as your application can genrate custom XML for these phones, any language will work because the application as such does not run on the phone. The phone just renders it like a browser. I develop in ASP.NET.
