Greetings all and thanks for making this forum available.

We are developing a system using the UCCX CTI Protocol to gathering some real time information on Agents and Skill Groups (Queues) for plasma boards and the like.

From reading the CTI Protocol PDF documentation along with the CTI Protocol website, I understand the we need the following for our development purposes:

"In order to begin development using the CUCCX CTI Protocol you will need a CUCCX system licensed for ICD.

You will also need a Voice Plus (DVCC) Developer Services contract so you can download and use the sample application which shows how to pack and unpack messages."

My question is, if we deploy our product to a 3rd party, what do we have to tell them is a requirement for their site? Will they need a UCCX system licensed for ICD? I am assuming a 3rd party won't need the Voice Plus Developer Services contract, however? Any other requirements to note?

    Thanks so much,

    Matt Fuerst

Yes they will need UCCX system licensed for ICD in order to use your
application.  They will not need a DS contract.  You should join the
CTDP program and have your application (system) certified via the IVT
program in order to deploy it to customers.  You would then provide the
first level of support for your system.  If an issue occurs, you would
then open a Service Request using your DS contract and DS will link that
case with a case (if any) that is opened by the end-customer directly
    with Cisco.

    Hope this helps.

I am trying to determine what this ICD license is. In the UCCX CTI Protocol Guide it states (Page 1-3): "

All Unified CCX CTI messages are received and sent through the CTI server module of the RMCM (Resource Manager Call Manager) Subsystem, used for resource distribution and the queuing of calls to call centers."

All versions of CCX have this feature enabled.

    Can you help clarify?

    Thanks,

    ~ Steve

Steve, without an ICD license there is no ability to define agents and have them log in and hence there is no CTI.  For licensing information contact your Cisco sales team.
