    Hey everybody...
I'm currently developing my first application with the AXL web service. When calling a function from the webservice, I get an exception - The remote server returned an error - 502 invalid gateway.
I followed the instructions about how to edit the cs file which the wsdl tool created. When stepping through the application with my debugger, the exception is thrown when calling base.GetWebRequest(uri) in the overloaded GetWebRequest function.
Does anybody have a hint for me, either knowing about this error or having any additional ideas about how to further analyse the problem?
By the way, the same exception occurs when the CCM is not running!!! So it seems to be an error either within my code (although I'm pretty sure I followed the instructions) or in the network architecture. (The CCM is on a virtual machine within out local network. The proxy is bypassed for local addresses.)
Thanks a lot in advance for any suggestions,
    Sascha

Update: The problem isn't connected to using the webservice. I even get the same error when posing a plain SOAP request to the server via http POST.

Could this be a network error or a configuration of the CCM?

Not seen this before. Things to check:

    • In UCM Serviceability pages, check Feature Services to ensure 'Cisco AXL Web Service' is running
    • App is POSTing to the correct URL: https://ucm_ip:8443/axl
    • App is Connecting via HTTPS/SSL
    • HTTP headers are appropriate for the AXL service (see AXL Developer Guide)

    SOLVED!!

I had to add the port to the server address entry in the exceptions list of the proxy configuration page in IE.
