    Hi

I'm trying to use the LDAP Search COM dll supplied with the 4.1 SDK to run a basic directory against AD.

It works fine, with one proviso - that I bind the LDAP base to an OU within the domain (e.g. OU=Staff,DC=domain,DC=co,DC=uk). If I try to bind to the domain (i.e. DC=domain,DC=co,DC=uk) then it fails.

Has anyone seen/worked around this behaviour?

The customer in question has users in at least three top-level OUs, so the only logical place to bind is the domain root.

    Thanks

    Hi Aaron,

Could you please provide the following details about this issue to debug this further?

    1) The ldapsearch command / query which you are using

    2) How many users do you have in all 3 OUs?

    3) The query which you are using returns some results and then fails or fails with no results?

    Thanks,
    Shilpa

The LDAP search COM object is part of the IP Phone Services SDK, see Documentation tab: http://developer.cisco.com/web/ipps/docs
