I am looking at obtaining phone information for auditing purposes and looking at querying using AXL to return all phones with an IP address. Then looking at filtering this so i can work out what phones are at what sites.

Does this work in a similar fashion to SQL databases where you have to reference a particular table or if this different?

I have managed to list all phones using a very useful script, many thanks to Wes Schochet http://developer.cisco.com/web/axl/forums/-/message_boards/message/1969097

but i would liek to include the IP address and Model information. How can i find out what these are called so i can add them into the script?

Phone IPs are not stored in a database, but rather in an in-memory process called the Realtime Information Service.  There is a SOAP API (risport) which provides access to this information: http://developer.cisco.com/web/sxml/docs.  There are a few usage samples also in the wiki.
