    Hi i´m brand new on this so please be patient.
    I´m creating a new .xml service for my ccm, using the dmp for signage.

    Reading some docs i performed this .xml wich is very simple.
    <CiscoIPPhoneExecute>
    <ExecuteItem URL="http://172.17.100.3/set_param?rs232.tx_hex=aa11ff010011"/>
    </CiscoIPPhoneExecute>

    the phone gets a host not found reponse, (the phone can reach the DMP)

    What i want to do is that the phone send this instruction or execute this instruction, (http://172.17.100.3/set_param?rs232.tx_hex=aa11ff010011) wich is used to turn off the LCD display connected to the DMP (digital media Player)

    For example if you execute this command through an http browser (http://172.17.100.3/set_param?rs232.tx_hex=aa11ff010011) it works.

    Regards and Thanks for any Idea

    Carlos

    Assuming you can reach the DMP via browser from a PC plugged into the phone's onboard extra PC port this seems odd.

    You may find something interesting by looking at a network packet capture from the phone.  This is pretty easy to do using Wireshark (www.wireshark.org) on a PC connected to the phone.  Feel free to attach here if you don't spot anything.

    Perhaps you can clarify in more detail the application comonents and flow.

    The XML you quoted would normally be sent via HTTP POST from a web service to the phone (which runs a small web server.)  The phone would then retrieve the indicated URL and display the results on its screen.

    What i need to do with the button1.xml is to send this istruction via the ipphone, don´t know if i´m using the correct instruction executeitem.
