    Trying to find the pattern and route partition of a DN using the UUID of the line appearance returned by getPhone. Once I get the UUID from getPhone I do a getLine:

    <SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xm
    lns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org
    /2001/XMLSchema">

                 <SOAP-ENV:Body>
                <getLine>
                <uuid>"{FBE577F8-A547-9A02-9F61-993AAE661F0A}"</uuid>
    </getLine>
    </SOAP-ENV:Body>
    </SOAP-ENV:Envelope>

    and get the following error:

    ERROR:: Item not valid: The specified Line was not found

    I think it is due to the fact that the UUID is of the line appearance on the phone, not the UUID of DN.

    Thanks for the help.

    Hi Mike,

    Try stripping off the { } from the ends of the uuid.  I have seen cases where AXL is inconsistent with its use of the {} characters in the uuid.

    Hi, I've had the same problem. You have to trim the {} and put all the alphabetic  character in lower case.
    For me this has worked.

    Should have noted this is against 6.1.2, but we'll also use it with 7.1.3.

    Thanks,

    Tried "{ }", {" "}, { }, " ", and no punctuation at all. None seem to work.

    Lower case and all manner of punctuation did not work. I did find the uuid of the DN in the return of getPhone and that is working for my purpose.

    THanks to all for the pointers.
