    Hi,

       I am trying to create Cisco Call Manager 'Remote Destination' from perl and I observed the following template has been created from logs:

    <SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:SOAP-ENC="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:ns1="http://www.cisco.com/AXLAPIService/" xmlns:ns2="http://www.cisco.com/AXL/API/7.1"><SOAP-ENV:Body><ns2:addRemoteDestination xsi:type="ns2:AddRemoteDestinationReq"><newRemoteDestination><name>Test Remote Destination</name><destination>1111</destination><answerTooSoonTimer>1500</answerTooSoonTimer><answerTooLateTimer>19000</answerTooLateTimer><delayBeforeRingingCell>4000</delayBeforeRingingCell><timeZone>(GMT) Etc/GMT*</timeZone><remoteDestinationProfileName>test profile</remoteDestinationProfileName></newRemoteDestination></ns2:addRemoteDestination></SOAP-ENV:Body></SOAP-ENV:Envelope>

    But my script fails with following error:
    SOAP 1.1 fault: SOAP-ENV:Client [no subcode]
    "Character to numeric conversion error"
    Detail: <axl:Error xmlns:axl="http://www.cisco.com/AXL/API/7.1"><axl:code>-1213</axl:code><axl:message>Character to numeric conversion error</axl:message><request>addRemoteDestination</request></axl:Error>

    Any help to resolve this error would be appreciated.

    Note : Manual creation of Remote Destination with same settings is successful

    Hi Anitha,

    Thanks for your response.

    Sorry. I forgot to mention that I tried with those two fields as well. But it did not work for me. It gives the same error as before.

    Thanks,
    Parimala

    Hi Parimala,

    Could you please try this following request:-

    <soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:ns="http://www.cisco.com/AXL/API/7.0">
       <soapenv:Header/>
       <soapenv:Body>
          <ns:addRemoteDestination>
             <newRemoteDestination>
              <name>Test</name>
              <destination>1111</destination>
              <answerTooSoonTimer>1500</answerTooSoonTimer>
              <answerTooLateTimer>19000</answerTooLateTimer>
              <delayBeforeRingingCell>4000</delayBeforeRingingCell>
              <timeZone>Etc/GMT</timeZone>
      <isMobilePhone>t</isMobilePhone>
       <enableMobileConnect>t</enableMobileConnect>
              <remoteDestinationProfileName>test</remoteDestinationProfileName>
              </newRemoteDestination>
          </ns:addRemoteDestination>
       </soapenv:Body>
    </soapenv:Envelope>

    This should work.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks and Regards,
    Anitha

    Hi Parimala,

    Are you getting the error with the provided sample request also? If yes could you please send me the corresponding AXL debug logs?

    could you please try the sample request?

    Thanks and Regards,
    Anitha

    Also, for the tag <timeZone> tag, you were using <timeZone>(GMT) Etc/GMT*</timeZone> make sure that you are correcting it to the following:-

    <timeZone>Etc/GMT</timeZone>

    Anitha

    Thank you so much Anitha.

    Changing timeZone tag as <timeZone>Etc/GMT</timeZone> resolved this error.

    I have used that because in Cisco Call Manager web form 'Time Zone' field has default entry as '(GMT) Etc/GMT*'. But i think we should not give the value like that.

    Thanks,
    Parimala.

    Anitha,

      Could you please provide me the detailed sample request to create 'Remote Destination' with all possible fields (including 'line association', 'dual mode device', 'mobile smart client', 'access list', 'time schedule', 'time period', etc,.) This would be really helpful for my project.

    Thanks in advance,
    Parimala.
