    Perhaps this is over my head and someone can point me in the right direction... But here's my problem.  I found a site ( that showed me how to POST stuff to the IP phones.  I wrote a script using AutoHotKey, that uses what I learned in that thread with WGET to POST commands to the phone.  However, the format of the files is confusing.  I try to send XML files directly to the phone, and I get 404 not found errors.  If it's a text file in this format:
    It works.  If I format that in a more human-readable way:
        <ExecuteItem URL="Key:Soft3"/>
    It doesn't work.  Why is this?  How can I get files into that "flat" format I posted above?  I guess I'd like a deeper understanding of how this actually works.  I've been referencing the Cisco documentation ( and I want to try some of the other XML code that they mention, but I can't figure out how to post it to the phone.  Any help/guidance/links/whatever would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!!

    Try to send it through php forms.
    I.Ex. one of my codes:
    header("Content-type: text/xml");
    echo '<CiscoIPPhoneExecute>';
    echo '<ExecuteItem URL="<service url>" />';
    echo '</CiscoIPPhoneExecute>';
    When I try to send it like xml file then I have errors.
